Website Update

We have added a new membrane, polysulfone-based PS30, to our product line which can be seen on the sheet membrane section of the website. PS30 is a unique, hydrophillic polysulfone membrane that is used primarily in the food industry but can have a wide range of applications.

New Staff

Josh de la Cruz joined Sepro in July 2008 to serve as an Applications Development Engineer. Josh previously has held similar positions with Hydranautics, GE water, and Osmonics. Josh will work with customers, provide technical assistance, and help to improve Sepro's products.

Hiromitsu Otani and Brett Thompson joined the Sepro staff in September 2008. Otani will serve as a Director for Sepro while Brett is a recent graduate from the University of Kentucky who will be providing technical assistance as a Development Engineer.

New Products

Sepro introduced the first ever polyacrylonitrile (PAN) membrane that complies with all applicable regulations of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.  This new FDA grade PAN ultrafiltration membrane is available in several forms having a range of performance characteristics.  The PAN membrane is hydrophilic, and as such, is particularly well suited for applications involving liquid foods or beverages that contain oils that foul other more hydrophobic membranes.

Sepro introduced a new, low pressure drop spiral-wound element.  This new element design (patent pending) allows for the effective processing of highly viscous liquids, such as certain wastewaters, or those that require processing at high feed flow velocities, such as E-coat paint.
